1884 :We have been shown a light running machine manufactured by the Domestic Sewing Machine Company, New York, for whom Messrs. Gordon and Gotch are the London agents. The " Reliable " is a good hand-machine made by this Company.  

1924: purchased by and became a subsidiary of White Sewing Machine Company

1904  death of James Blake (founder of the Domestic Sewing Machine Co.).
