THE SIXTH EXHIBITION OF THE MASSACHUSETTS CHARITABLE         MECHANIC ASSOCIATION

The Exhibition was opened in Faneuil and Quincy Halls, in the City of Boston, on Wednesday the 11th, and closed on Saturday, the 28th of September 1850.

    " The earlier inventor is often entitled to less credit, than he who gives a practical and more useful form to the invention. Original inventions are here, collaterally, with later improved forms, given to therm by other minds. Improvements of machines are here, where the original inventions are not on exhibition. "
